I hope you all are taking time to appreciate time with your friends and family today, and enjoying this weather. I’m sure you all will be getting outside for some exercise!

It is with excitement and caution to let you know that Winter Track has been approved to practice outdoors, in-person, beginning as planned on Dec. 2. I just received this news yesterday.

******No forms = no practice********

Email them to me (all were sent in previous emails) or bring them to me at practice

In order to attend, please fill out the google form above ASAP, by Saturday November 28, 2020. We will be following strict guidelines, which will be emailed out again before our first practice. If anything changes, or there is a weather-related cancel, we have virtual practices ready to go.

Please email me with any questions or concerns, and we can’t wait to see you all and start training,
Coach Kami

What’s next for Winter Track? We held our zoom meetings to discuss the COVID guidelines this past week, which are required in order to participate. For those who did not attend, I will be scheduling an additional zoom meeting in the near future, so hang tight.

We will be starting winter track as virtual zoom practices on Wednesday December 2, at our already scheduled practice times! We are very excited to have our very own SENIORS leading virtual practices. Each practice will start with a brief introduction to our 2 Senior leaders, with perhaps some video/pic footage of his/her accomplishments. Then get ready to go through warm-up, abs, workout, circuits, etc together. The key is to learn our team routines and get to know each other. We will record sessions so they can be available. Coach Kami will be taking attendance each practice, as far as earning Winter Track Club letters.

2:30 – 3:45 – Sprints/Jumps/Pole Vault/Throwers
3:15 – 4:30 – Distance/Hurdlers

More to come in the next week, so keep checking this website and remind. If you are not on remind, get on it! Info was sent out in previous emails. And as always, feel free to email Coach Kami with any questions or concerns at: kamireinhard@gmail.com

Practice times for Winter Track for December, report to EHS TRACK STADIUM:

Monday-Wednesday-Friday – beginning Wed. Dec 2 through Fri. Feb 26 (except Holiday break 12/24 – 1/4)

2:30 – 3:45 – Sprints/Jumps/Pole Vault/Throwers
3:15 – 4:30 – Distance/Hurdlers

I will be sending out a google form to those who attend one of the meetings next week to sign up for practices. Students will be placed into pods within their primary event group. We will all be training together, but in separate locations around the track/throwing area/turf area. Most practices will only last 1 hour. We are training for the “Jingle Bell intersquad competition (I found the bells!!!),” scheduled for Monday Dec 21.

I know it’s a lot of information, so please don’t hesitate to ask any questions,
Coach Kami

Winter Track information and schedule will be emailed out this evening! I was waiting for the school board meeting to occur, and further guidance from our athletic/activities office .
Be smart and stay safe!

Below is the EHS Track and Field Spirit Wear link, for athletes/parents to order from today through November 15! Orders are due to arrive before Christmas. We began offering this option last year, so athletes could have spirit wear before the outdoor spring track season begins. Note there are 3 pullover jackets offered this year, as well as an EHS Track and Field duffel bag that can be personalized. Here’s the link:
