News and Announcements

Emails were sent tonight with final final entries and bus vs self commute list. This is our first venture to Hazleton, and Monday will be our first venture to Pottsville! There will be 2 heats of the laned events, as these leagues run their meets this way. So you’ll note we are taking advantage of those opportunities.

Please refer to the top 10 list of how to have a successful meet, with all your questions answered in the emails sent!

Work hard, be prepared, and have fun!
EHS Track & Field Coaching Staff

In “normal” years, athletes stay for the entire meet, when home or away. However, due to COVID, we are permitting athletes to leave the meet when he/she is done in his/her events. When meets are at home, simply let your event coach know you are leaving early. When we are away, a parent must sign out an athlete in order to leave the meet.

Conditions are a little different today then last week, so take advantage of the opportunity!!! Let’s make sure to give William Allen High School a warm welcome to our new facility, and please help guide athletes to event areas if needed. Family members are welcome to come as spectators. EHS TRACK & FIELD TEAM!!!

Take 2: After 2 years, we return to Track & Field competition. Be sure to take a moment and just take it all in. Enjoy the process and the opportunity to compete. We take 1 day at a time, as we don’t know what the next will bring. Be sure to hydrate, stretch, roll, and fuel properly in these last 24 hours to prepare for your competition. It has been a joy to coach you all, and we are eager to watch you compete. We had to adjust arrival times a bit, so please see times below. Warm-ups can’t be done as a team anymore, so when you arrive, warm up when you are scheduled to compete. Coaches can not do screenings after 2:40pm as we need to focus on coaching for the meet. Let’s be sure to give a warm welcome to DIeruff’s Track & Field team, as they will be our very first team competition at our new facility!!!

I’m sure many of you received the email of school closure required from Saturday March 27 – Monday April 5. It makes sense, in that students would only be returning for 2 days, then off again for break. We will be moving forward next week with our community service project, virtually, and we will have the collection take place likely Wednesday 3/31/21. I will email information.

  • Event coaches will be in touch with each event group within the next 24 hours.*
